Telling the Story of a State’s Entrepreneurship

Innovate Mississippi is dedicated to connecting entrepreneurs and innovative businesses with the private funding and public resources they need to be successful. This is all done in a coordinated effort to grow the state’s GDP and jobs base.

Instead of issuing an annual report that would be skimmed and tossed aside, my team recommended the organization publish its annual financial and organizational information in the form of a magazine that also generates buzz around the organization, sells ads, and serves as a months-long passive marketing campaign.

For this project, I served as publisher of the magazine, leading a team of incredible writers and designers to document events and businesses around the state that were impacting entrepreneurship.
